There’s greater warmth, smoothness, depth, presence and immersive expressiveness in this latest version of Pianoteq.

Hi Phil,
Thank you for this and many other videos you have produced that I have enjoyed. I love your performances and wonder about your setup (computer, controller, and PTQ settings) for Pianoteq 8. Are you using a sample rate of 96K and do you think that is important for getting the clearest sound? I’d like to try to replicate your platform configuration if possible.
Hi Stuart, Thanks for watching my videos! I’m glad there’s something for you to enjoy. If you head over to my YouTube Channel’s about section – https://www.youtube.com/@PhilBestMusic/about – you’ll find a list of my gear there. But my advice is always to try gear out for yourself and choose what you like, as choices of pianos/speakers/audio interfaces/etc. are very a very subjective matter. I just use the default settings (48kHz) of my interface in Pianoteq. I don’t much care about sample rates, if I’m honest. I don’t really hear any difference between 48 and 96kHz.
